Born on a crisp winter’s Thursday in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Marie was the daughter of Santo and Theresa Trombettini, whose rich Italian heritage shaped her unwavering devotion to faith, family, and tradition. For 61 years, was the devoted wife of Arthur J. Papa, who preceded her in death on December 23, 2023. Their love was a testament to the sacred bond of marriage—one of sacrifice, laughter, faith, and an unbreakable foundation built upon God’s grace. Though Arthur’s passing left an irreplaceable void, Marie carried on with the same quiet strength and dignity that defined her. Together, they raised eight extraordinary children—Christina, Emanuel, Gina, Dawn, Kim, Arthur Jr., Nicholas, and Michael—and through them, their love multiplied into 24 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the enduring legacy of a woman whose heart was vast enough to embrace them all.
